What’s Cooking in Westfield NJ?

by Jackie on January 27, 2012

It seems that as well as a busy Housing Market in Westfield NJ and a multitude of restaurants, people are beginning to want to cook like the professionals.   Almost every day I read of a new cooking class being offered and it’s very tempting to dream of serving up beautiful dishes to amaze and delight my family.  Of course, having the time to do it would also be an added bonus!

However, for those of you who fancy becoming a “Top Chef,” here are three of the current venues offering to teach you the joys of cooking:

Classic Thyme Cooking School, 710 South Avenue, Westfield, NJ.  (908) 232-5445

“Where Serious Cooking is Always Fun” has been around since 1995.  They offer a plethora of classes as well as parties, summer cooking camps and team building.  If you want to learn to cook something, they most probably have a class for it!  Before you know it, you’ll be a a whizz in the kitchen.

Savory Spice Shop, 138 E Broad Street, Westfield, NJ (908) 264-8947

Savory Spice is a newer shop that opened late in 2011.  They are now offering classes which seem to fill up very fast.  I wanted to hear from the chef at Chez Catherine, one of my favorite Westfield restaurants, but I’m on the waiting list!  They are holding classes featuring chefs from local restaurants and food establishments.  In February, John’s Meat Market will teach the secrets of making sausages.  Call them for more details.

Williams-Sonoma, 127 Central Avenue, Westfield, NJ (908) 301-0075

Williams-Sonoma are saying “Come Cook With Us.”  Each month they are offering a full lineup of informative in-store cooking classes and daily demonstrations taught by “Culinary Experts” and guest chefs.  Call the store for more information and to participate.

So with all this information available, it seems that we will all soon be enjoying great meals.  As I said, now all I need is a few more hours in the day!

If you would like more information about buying or selling a home, please contact me on my direct line at (732) 261-6151.  I’d be glad to help you.

If you know someone else who would find this information helpful, please pass it on to friends and family!

If you’re considering buying or selling soon, or know someone who is, it’s important to have a knowledgable, local agent who can guide you through the process.  I am always available to help.
