Reference for terrific Metuchen Realtor If you decide you want to see something in Metuchen (or Central NJ), I highly recommend chatting with Jackie Safran about it.   Kathryn and I were very happy with her help in finding our current home in Metuchen in 2003. She's realistic and sensible, not pushy at all, but very effective at what she does. We've stayed connected with Jackie over the years and recently she has been very helpful giving us advice about current market conditions and how to get our home ready for re-sale. Tom Boyd

Hillsborough Real Estate

Hillsborough is a township in Somerset County, NJ, and was originally created by Royal Charter in 1771.  The township has a total area of 54.8 square miles and, in terms of area, is the largest township in Somerset County.

Unincorporated communities located within Hillsborough Township are Belle Mead, Blackwells Mills, Flagtown, Neshanic and South Branch.

After the bypass to US 206 is completed, the town plans to design a town center along the old business Route 206. Construction for the bypass is expected to begin in 2009 and be completed by 2012.  The old section of US-206 will become the main street for the township.

Hillsborough is also home to Duke Gardens and Duke Farms, a 2700 acre estate in the north-east section of the town.  Originally owned by tobacco and electric energy tycoon, James “Buck” Duke and then passed down to his daughter, Doris Duke.¬† Duke Farms is now one of the few remaining “preserved” natural areas in Hillsborough Township.
