We have known Jackie since February 2005. She was referred to us by our friends who had very high regards for her. She successfully helped us find and close on our first home in North Edison in 2006.

Jackie has a very good understanding of the real estate market in central NJ.

When we started looking, we were looking for a home in the towns of North Edison, Westfield and Scotch Plains. She is very well versed in these towns and extremely familiar with North Edison - to the extent that she provides feedback about streets and neighborhoods that only locals would know. Her knowledge helped us zero in on the neighborhood of our choice. She is very well respected by her peers and has a wide network of professionals that she works with. When it was time for closing, Jackie helped us by referring home inspectors, attorneys and mortgage specialists. She provided us with several references for each of them with the pros and cons of working with each of them. While none of these were binding, having the choices definitely helped us. In particular, the home inspector she referred was so good that he was also hired by the sellers of our home.

All through the home buying process, we found Jackie to be very objective of serving our interests.

She is patient and we never felt any pressure to buy or make a decision that we were not comfortable with. In other words, she let us find our home. At all times we found her to be prompt and courteous and willing to go the extra yard to help find us information. (when she didn't have it). Kiran and Shobna Banga

South Amboy Real Estate

South Amboy is a City in Middlesex County, NJ, on the Raritan Bay. South Amboy and Perth Amboy across the Raritan River are collectively referred to as ‘The Amboys’. Signage for Exit 11 on the New Jersey Turnpike refers to ‘The Amboys’ as a destination. The city has a total area of 2.7 miles and there are approximately 9,000 people residing in the City.

From just about anywhere in South Amboy, several times each day, you can hear the train whistle. It is one of the distinctive things about South Amboy and is representative of how the railroad and transportation in general have been the key to the City’s existence. The railroad brought the rest of the world to, or at least through, South Amboy. That is what makes it all the more impressive that this community retained its character through the years. Working-class families, mostly Irish and Polish came, raised families, stayed and kept the town as their own.

South Amboy used to be much larger, a sprawling township 18 miles long and 6 miles wide. Gradually the other municipalities broke off in the mid-1800’s, apparently with little objection from South Amboy’s leaders as it wasn’t easy collecting taxes from these far-flung residents.

The South Amboy Public Schools system has South Amboy Elementary School and South Amboy Middle High School. Cardinal McCarrick High School is a coeducational Catholic secondary school that serves nearly 500 students.

South Amboy is experiencing a resurgence and new homes have been built along the water which command high prices. Downtown is being developed and there are new businesses and restaurants on Broadway which will soon have new streetlights, curbs, banners and decorations. Raritan River Landing, a construction project will transform a swath of little-used waterfront property off Lower Broadway into hotel, office and retail space. There are plans to create a walkway linking Raritan Bay Waterfront Park to the northern end of the municipality.

As well as a train service into Manhattan, there is now a water ferry that travels from South Amboy to Manhattan’s Pier 11 in Wall Street, Manhattan.
