Testimonial

When my partner and I first met with Jackie because we were planning to move from New Hope, Pa to the Metuchen area, we had not even sold our house at that point. Little did we know that it would take about 9 more months to sell in Pa so that we could seriously look in NJ.

Throughout that entire time, Jackie worked patiently and professionally with us, providing counseling and occasionally some much needed comic relief when we thought we would never be able to move on with our lives.

Everything worked out very well for us and we are now happily living in a great house in Metuchen, NJ. Jackie's guidance through the process was outstanding at all times, she made us feel like we were her only clients (even though we knew full well that we were not!). She gave us very personalized attention and carefully advised us when she felt we were headed towards a bad decision. I have and will continue to recommend Jackie whenever I can and even though I hope never to move again would unquestionably use her professional services again.

Monroe Township is located in southern Middlesex County on the borders of Monmouth Junction and Mercer Counties, equidistant between New York City and Philadelphia. Measured in terms of total land area, 43.8 square miles, Monroe is the largest municipality in Middlesex County.

Monroe is situated at Exit 8A of the New Jersey Turnpike and Route 33 runs through the southern part of the town. Monroe has various bus stops that allow passengers to take a bus to the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan, adjacent to the Lincoln Tunnel.

Monroe was founded in 1838 and named in honor of the President of the United States, James Monroe. For many decades, it was largely a farming community. The townships largely agrarian landscape began to turn more suburban between 1960 and 1968 when the NJ Turnpike opened Exit 8A, in conjunction with the effort to develop the Leisure World age-restricted community of Rossmore. Since then, at least five more communities for senior citizens have been added and more are under development. The township also several golfing communities built around the Forsgate Country Club and not far from the entrance to Exit 8A.

At the same time, and over the next few decades, suburbs for people of all ages spread over Monroe Township, prompting the expansion of several schools and the construction of new ones. Monroe has also added shopping centers, houses of worship, a recreation center and a new library. Many of the new single-family home developments are very large and luxurious and appeal to affluent young families. While development is thriving in this township, there is a commitment to preserve more open space and farmland throughout Monroe.

Monroe is also known for its high quality, blue-ribbon school system. There are four elementary schools, a middle school and High School. Monroe’s students generally score above state and national averages on standardized tests. Students from Jamesburg attend Monroe Township High School as part of a sending/receiving relationship.
