Old Bridge Schools
Old Bridge school system has 12 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, and one comprehensive high school. The Township's total daily average enrollment is nearly 10,000 students. Old Bridge High School, with its enrollment of more than 3,100 students is the fourth largest high school in the state. In 2004-2005, the latest published New Jersey School Report Cards, indicated that Old Bridge's general education elementary students scored 88.0% and 85.8% Proficient and Advanced Proficient on the NJ ASK 3 and 4 in Language Arts/Literacy and 85.6% and 85.6% Proficient and Advanced Proficient on the NJ ASK 3 and 4 in Mathematics, compared with a state average of 83.2% and 81.6% in Language Arts/Literacy and 82.5% and 80.2% in Mathematics for the same tests, significantly higher in both third and fourth grades and on both tests. This same level of performance is replicated on the secondary level. The middle schools averaged 77.3% on the Language Arts/Literacy portion of the GEPA and 64.8% on the Mathematics portion, compared with a state average of 72.3% and 62.4% respectively. At Old Bridge High School students averaged 84.2% on the Language Arts/Literacy portion of the HSPA and 76.6% on the Mathematics portion, compared with a state average of 83.2% and 75.5% respectively. In addition we are proud to boast a graduation rate of 94.2%, 3 points above the state average with 87.5% of those graduates having passed the HSPA, compared with the state average of 85.8%. Further, the graduating class of 2005 saw 83.6% of the graduates entering a four or two year college following graduation.
