“New Arrivals, Longtimers Mix in Westfield”

by Jackie on January 16, 2012

“Westfield NJ is kind of a small-town haven that’s great for families – it’s highly walkable, it has a wonderful downtown and the houses go from turn-of-the-century Victorians all the way up to new construction.  It’s a close-knit community, but it’s large enough that you don’t know everyone in town.”

This appeared in Sunday’s copy of The Wall Street Journal in an article written by Melanie Lefkowitz and which I was fortunate enough to be interviewed for.  The article covered a page and is a very good description of life in Westfield, NJ.  If you would like to read this article, please click here.

The article goes on to describe how the town retains many of the “legacy families” that have been here for generations, but also attracts young families who may be relocating in from a completely different area of the country.  In fact, my last sale in Westfield was to a young family who were transferring in from Chicago and were looking for a small, but sophisticated town with a lively town center, with an easy commute to Manhattan and a great school district.  That, in a nutshell, describes Westfield, New Jersey.
