It’s A Night Out for “The Girls”

by Jackie on October 12, 2012

There always seems to be something happening in Downtown Westfield!

Westfield NJ home owners might experience the lack of the female members of the household come the evening of Thursday, October 18th.  It’s Girls’ Night Out in Westfield again, starting at 5 pm and running through until 9 pm.  The first 1,000 pre-registrants can pick up their special gift from the Downtown Westfield Corporation at 151 E. Broad Street.  You can pre-register for free a: www.westfieldtoday.com/girlsnightout

Nearly 80 local businesses in Downtown Westfield are gearing up for the ladies to arrive by offering sales and discounts, along with refreshments, freebies and some entertainment.  This evening has developed into a semi-annual event that both Westfield residents and business owners look forward to.  Restaurants such as Aquaviva, Brick Oven and Limani Sea Food Grill will be offering special deals and live jazz will be performed outdoors.  And just to make the ladies feel special, many chivalrous local male volunteers and dignitaries will be on hand to greet the ladies and open doors for them outside downtown shops.

It seems that every time this event is held, it grows in popularity, both in the number of participants shopping and the number of participating businesses.  In the Spring, 32 percent of the ladies participating were Westfield residents, but the rest came from the towns beyond Westfield – in all 135 New Jersey towns and seven other States were represented.  This means that there’s a lot of people who are not Westfield residents who are looking for parking.  Below is a comprehensive map showing parking around town.

Once you visit Westfield NJ and see how vibrant the town is and the beautiful surrounding homes, you might feel that this would be a great place to live.  If you click here you can make a full search of all the homes currently available.
